Editorial Standards
how guides are made

Drafted, verified, and signed.

Some field guides are drafted by Urania, a disclosed AI research assistant, and edited, verified, and signed by Zachary Rossmiller. Urania is not a person and is never cited as a source — guides cite the primary sources listed in each colophon instead, and Zachary Rossmiller remains the accountable author of record for everything published under his name.

Guides Zachary Rossmiller writes solo carry no AI byline. Where a guide is AI-drafted, that fact is disclosed on the guide itself — in the byline beneath the title and in a colophon note at the end — never buried or reworded to obscure it.

Verification
tools & posture

Assistive, not autonomous.

The research tools described on this site are advanced assistive systems, not independent authors. Their outputs — citations, drafts, analyses — are treated as claims to be checked, not facts to be trusted. Citations in Urania-drafted guides are verified against primary sources before publication, the same posture the site's ethics statement holds every tool in the portfolio to.
